Still rockin’, after all these years, formed in 1957, “The Big Beats” were the first ’50s Rock & Roll Band to sign with Columbia Records, and became an instant hit with an appearance on Dick Clark’s American Band Stand. They became one of the favorite groups of their time, touring with such Super-Stars as Buddy Holly and The Crickets, Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, and Bobby Darin. The five-piece band toured successfully for more than twenty years. The five artists appearing in this show are C.W. Kendall, Jr., Bobby Rambo, Earl Slocumb, Billy Mitchell, and Larry Randall. Rock music lovers young and old will go wild over these rockin’ pioneers.
